NOTES FROM THE PRESIDENT

Summer is here, and Niwot is blooming with flowerpots and activities all Summer long!  The NBA puts on and partners with so many wonderful Summer events!  From annual events that pull people into Niowt like Lobsterfest, Flower Fest, Why Not Niowt? and the Honey Bee Festival to  monthly events like First Fridays to weekly events like Dancing Under the Stars and Rock & Rails, Niwot blooms with events all Summer long. The NBA puts on and supports these events to bring patrons to Niwot and to bring patrons to your NBA business. Please join in the fun on these days by doing specials, promoting advertising based on these events, and by volunteering!  Volunteering helps your business by having you meet Niwotians and visitors that you haven’t yet met and introducing yourself and your business to them.

Truly, what makes Niwot shine is the unique culture and vibe.  Niwot needs these events, and needs YOU to support these events!  In return, these events support your business. Come out to volunteer!

NOTES FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

We won’t have any events meetings in the Summer months and will resume on a monthly basis ( first Friday of the month at 9am in Deb’ office) on Friday September 6th.

Around the World went ahead despite the terrible weather and positive feedback has been received.

Lobsterfest was a great success with $2,805 being raised for the Left hand grange. Thank you for all the volunteers, the businesses that sponsored and also donated to the silent auction.

The Honeybee Festival planning is going well with a record number of vendors booked – looking forward to another great day in Niwot.

 NOTES FROM THE SECRETARY

The July meeting will be on Tuesday July 9, 6pm at Niwot Market. Learn more about Niwot Market at https://niwotmarket.com/. For this meeting, the NBA WILL BE OUTDOORS! For this meeting, the NBA will have a social mixer to network and learn more about each other and our businesses and how we can support each other.

The NBA Board of Directors has volunteer positions to be filled and, if you are interested in these positions, or to learn more, please email [email protected].

Please read about the NBA Exec Board positions here Succession Planning/Primer for NBA Executive Board Final Version

The meeting schedule has been emailed to you each, and please reach out to [email protected]  if you wish a paper copy.  It is also listed below.

For 2024, some meetings will be at Niwot Grange and will have NBA businesses sponsoring the meeting. This will allow  some businesses to be showcased that cannot host due to their size or location and will allow some businesses to pair up for sponsoring.

For 2024, there will NOT be a monthly report sent to NBA members and a QUARTERLY REPORT will be sent to each NBA member instead in January, April, July, and October. Monthly meetings will be used to discuss a topic relevant to all businesses, and there will be time for NBA members to ask questions. Future topics include business speakers to teach how to optimize your business, speakers that are experts in maximizing your time and your work/life balance, and a mixer to network with each other.

If you have a topic that you would like discussed, or if you would like to be a speaker, please reach out to [email protected]
