NOTES FROM THE PRESIDENT

The NBA is looking forward to 2024!

In 2024, there are some fabulous plans from the NBA and for the NBA, as well as having changes to the NBA meeting structure.

The NBA is continuing to focus on making Niwot an even more desirable place to shop, explore, and spend time for Niwotians and visitors alike. To help with this, NBA reports will now be quarterly, and will still be emailed to you. Much of the NBA events are on the NBA website, as well as more marketing and visibility for businesses.

The NBA will have meetings focus on reports from the NBA Exec, and each NBA meeting will have a focus of providing more business related info to help each NBA business member get more from their membership.

NOTES FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

Holiday magic was a great success with record crowds each week – at the fayre on Dec 2nd we had 1003 people through the door, and 635 the second week which is way ahead of previous years. Dec 2nd had a few additional things that day that helped drive more traffic: we had 110 people picking up scout wreaths, an additional 50 people picking up Gingerbread houses, the launch of the Niwot nickel and shopping bag, and upstairs at the grange Charities within reach had their fundraiser Thai Market. Additionally the weather was beautiful and mild which all contributed to the positive numbers.

Winterfest is in planning mode. Meetings will start again the first week of January with Marketing starting every other Friday starting Jan 5th. Events meetings starting every other Friday starting Jan 12th. Happy New Year – here’s to a prosperous and healthy 2024.

Monthly meetings will be used to discuss a topic relevant to all businesses, and there will be time for NBA members to ask questions. Future topics include discussing how to help businesses come up with a plan for the increase in minimum wage and how to manage FAMLI, as well as business motivational speakers and  how to get rebates from Boulder County for your business.
