Established in 1993, Boulder Valley Waldorf School is a small, non-profit, private school located on a unique 38-acre campus in Niwot, Colorado. Formerly Shepherd Valley Waldorf School, the school changed the name in 2016 to better reflect the area the school serves. In 2019, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Waldorf education across the globe!
Our comprehensive curriculum and expansive grounds offer school days filled with imagining, moving and creating.
With Parent-Child classes, Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary Grades through Middle School, we offer teaching expertise and a developmentally appropriate curriculum that allows students to blossom and prepares them for a lifetime of academic success and engagement.
Boulder Valley Waldorf School educates children for the whole of life, using the curriculum and educational principles of Waldorf Education, so they become confident individuals, capable of making free choices, able to realize their full potential, and inspired to make a difference in the world.
The school cultivates a welcoming, inclusive community, which supports the growth and development of students, parents and teachers and recognizes and honors their talents. The education fosters reverence for nature and environmental stewardship by integrating the school’s agricultural land and exceptional natural setting in our educational and community programs.
