From start to finish, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 is melodic, impressive, and creative. And the Colorado premiere of Anna Clyne’s “Dance” Cello Concerto, featuring Boulder Symphony’s own Erin Patterson, is a story in five movements based on Rumi’s five-line poem:
Dance, when you’re broken open.
Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of the fighting.
Dance in your blood.
Dance, when you’re perfectly free.
Program:

- Anna Clyne – “Dance” Cello Concerto, feat. Erin Patterson
