This local group of women meets regularly for a variety of activities, some purely social, some celebrating our diverse cultures, and some for fundraising for local charities which members vote to contribute to at the end of each fundraising year. There is always a mixture of price ranges for different events, including some that are free. The Board also welcomes ideas from members for new types of events and activities. With COVID, we are trying to have a variety of options that fit with people’s comfort levels and always run events subject to local public health rules and advice. WINC EVENTS Some examples of the social activities we organize on a regular basis: Movie Nights and Movie Days Coffee events Theater and Music Events Crafting sessions Cookery classes Evening socials Summer Cocktails Monthly Bunco Night Wine/Restaurant Tasting events Dog walking and hiking activities Card games Health and spa events Holiday Party Holiday Fayre One-off themed events such as Kentucky Derby Party, Pumpkin Patch, Guy Fawkes Celebration etc. The events are generally held around Niwot, Longmont or Boulder with very occasional trips eg to Denver. Some are focused purely on members and some have opportunities to bring family, partner or friends. Events are communicated via evite, making it easy to schedule and respond. You may attend as many or as few as you like! We try to offer plenty of choice so that people can find things that resonate with them. CHARITIES SUPPORTED Through money raised through events and activities WINC contributes to many local charities on an annual basis. Members vote to determine how those funds will be allocated.
