About 8z Real Estate- Michelle Murphy
Real estate is not about property; it is about people. You are the most important part of my job. It is a joy to be doing what I love….working with wonderful people in a beautiful state with fabulous clients and remarkable properties. I believe fundamentally in a solid moral compass in my business and personal life. Being honorable, generous, kind, and compassionate while working smart and diligently for my client’s best interest is paramount.
The journey has taken me on many paths finally merging here, in real estate. My sales, teaching, business and investment experiences have laid a course for the present. Being a realtor that can listen and then communicate effectively is very important to me. Every buyer and every seller has different circumstances, wants, and needs. It is my job to ensure that those wants and needs are met.
My area of expertise is Niwot and Heatherwood. What a joy to be able bring my agriculture background and my real estate expertise to this incredible ‘farm’. My fabulous ‘farm’ boasts wonderful Boulder County amenities like rolling country lanes that our avid bikers love, abundant trails, fabulous schools, community oriented neighborhoods and gorgeous mountain views.
Niwot is a gem surrounded by lush agriculture land and open space. It is a delightful small town with a sophisticated ambience yet a very down home feel. The Niwot Inn is a wonderful place to stay while you are searching for the perfect home. It is luxurious yet warm and friendly; the spa is first rate. You can start your day with a strong brew from Winot Coffee Company or a delightful tea from Happy Mountain Bean and Bistro. There are numerous trails to mountain bike, run or hike. Treat yourselves to one of our wonderful restaurants; my favorites are Colterra and Treppeda’s. Join us for Jazz on 2nd in August, an incredible celebration of talent and art. I would love to show you around and help you find the right home for you and your family.
Heatherwood is a remarkable family community located off of 75th Street between Lookout Road and Jay Road. It is in unincorporated Boulder with City of Boulder amenities. It has a wonderful elementary school, a terrific community-oriented neighborhood, and is close to shopping, cafes, restaurants and trails.
I grew up in the beautiful agricultural region of the Central Valley in California. From a young age, farming and ranching were a part of my life. I began working at my parents’ tractor dealership when I was 14. I spent many a day at our friends’ peach and olive ranch, working the farm stand. I understand the importance of good land, generous communities and preservation of natural resources while enjoying the abundance of what the land offers.
I did my undergraduate work in political science at UC Berkeley and my graduate work in history at CSU Stanislaus. After many years in sales with Gallo Wines and Coca Cola, I began a rewarding teaching career. For twelve years, I taught history at the middle school and high school level. I then launched a small education company, marrying my love of education with business. My husband and I began investing in real estate in 1997. We continued our business in real estate, acquiring properties in California, Idaho and Colorado.
In 2009, we moved to beautiful Boulder County. I have been in and around real estate for almost 20 years, enjoying many sides of the business. I am thrilled to be with 8z. It is a remarkable company with the highest moral compass and values.
I am married to my love, Randy. We are blessed with three wonderful children, ages 17, 14 and 8. We love hiking, cooking, reading, gardening and doing house exchanges. It is important to ALWAYS give back and pay forward. Being a part of the community is an integral part of who I am. I served on the Judicial Performance Commission for the 20th District of Colorado for three years and on the Children’s Crisis Center board for ten. I am a parishioner at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. I am also a member of Phi Alpha Theta Historical society and the League of Women Voters.
Please let me know how I can serve you.
