Pete Wernick is renowned worldwide for his accomplishments and contributions to bluegrass music: the hot-picking force in several trend-setting bands including Hot Rize , respected author and teacher, songwriter, and long-term President of the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Pete has performed with many musical legends, from Doc Watson to Bill Monroe and Jerry Garcia. But perhaps his most high-profile and exciting appearance was in September, 2005, performing on the David Letterman show with his lifelong inspiration, Earl Scruggs, along with Steve Martin and two other players, backed by Joan Wernick and son Will Wernick, picking a high-speed "Foggy Mt. Breakdown". The group, called Men With Banjos (Who Know How To Use Them), also performed at the New Yorker Festival.

Pete's current performance schedule centers around appearances with FLEXIGRASS, Hot Rize and with his singer/guitarist wife Joan as a duet ("Dr. and Nurse Banjo"). FLEXIGRASS' 2007 release shows the band's unique combination of banjo with clarinet, vibraphone, bass, and drums continuing to forge new pathways combining traditional and modern elements in American roots music.

Haystack Mountain Golf Course is a quiet walking course along Left Hand Creek which opened in 1966 as a public, executive length, 9-hole (par 32). We offer a large grass tee practice range, food, full bar, club rentals and pull carts.

Niwot Timberline Symphony Orchestra was founded in September 1992. as the Boulder Community Orchestra. It was composed of strings and woodwind players from the Boulder and Longmont areas and under the baton of Andrew P. LeVasseur, it presented two full orchestra concerts during the winter and spring of 1993.

In 1995 Brian St. John won the position of Music Director and led the orchestra until 2008. In January 2006 the orchestra moved from the Louisville/Lafayette/east Boulder area to a new home in Niwot. Now, as Niwot Timberline Symphony, it has a core of more than sixty volunteer musicians from several Front Range communities. NTS is proud to offer a symphonic experience for both its musicians and audience. After conducting a search for a new conductor, Devin Patrick Hughes was selected to lead the Niwot Timberline Symphony Orchestra beginning the fall of 2008.

The Eye Opener is a place to gather, relax and socialize and offers a 46-inch HDTV, free wireless Internet, great music and the first refill of drip coffee is on the house. We look forward to seeing you at our friendly, small-town coffee house!

Howard Treppeda’s appetite for having his own restaurant started in 1996, while visiting the quaint little town of Niwot. As his dream become a reality, he began pouring his heart and soul into a charming Italian Restaurant in the foot hills of the Rockies, affectionately called “Treppeda’s”. Over the years, the restaurant has become recognized by locals and non-locals alike, as a great place to “chill” with friends, or to enjoy authentic southern Italian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Howard also maintains a commitment of his own and uses locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and relies on local farms for their produce and meat. You will undoubtedly be swept away with Treppeda’s unique food…right from the first bite!
